It's Monday! Easter and Readlaxing

Stress and anxiety are now part of my daily life with nursing school. That's not a good thing... FYI.  Thankfully though I had a test last Wednesday that I did well on and I am de-stressed from that plus I had a great Easter weekend, spending time with family and relaxing. :) My siblings and I watched The Fellowship of the Ring and once again I'm getting that urge to re-read the Lord of the Rings. :)

Finished this week

  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne

Currently Reading

  • King Lear by William Shakespeare
  • The Valley of Vision
  • Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott (re-read)

Coming Soon

  • Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
  • Armadale by Wilkie Collins
  • The Borrowers by Mary Norton (re-read)

  1. I'm glad that you had a relaxing weekend! :) How was 20,000 leagues under the sea? I've found Jules Verne a little hard to get through myself, but haven't read that one.

    1. Jules Verne I have found also is a little hard to get into. I thought 20,00 Leagues Under the Sea was pretty good. It was one of his easier books I think but still difficult.
I would say as far as early sic-fi goes, he's easier to read than H.G. Wells and in my opinion better. It's fascinating to think that those ideas presented in his books were revolutionary at that time! :)

  2. Readlaxing - that's the perfect word! I love The Borrowers. As a kid, my mom blamed everything that disappeared on them. I kept looking for them everywhere, but never found them! :)

    1. That's so cute! I was definitely a fan of the books as a kid and I'm looking forward to revisiting them.
