It's Monday and I'm reading... books! ;)

I actually had a pretty good week of reading. I'm really far ahead of schedule with my Goodreads challenge but that's probably a good thing. Last year I barely made it so I'll be excited to finish it early this year. :)

Finished

Currently Reading

  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows by J.K. Rowling (re-read)
  • Prayer by John Bunyan

Coming Soon (hopefully)

  • The Giver by Lois Lowry
  • That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis

Bought this week (library book sale!)

  • The Virginian by Owen Wister
  • All Things Wise and Wonderful by Jame Herriot
  • And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
  • Mark Twain's Best: Eight great short stories by America's master humorist by Mark Twain
  • A Pair of Blue Eyes by Thomas Hardy
  • Under the Greenwood Tree by Thomas Hardy
  • Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
  • Piercing the Darkness by Frank E. Peretti

Book Review posted this week

Tons to read in the future it looks like! That will keep me busy... though school should be what is keeping me busy. ;)

    1. Thanks! Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness are two of my most re-read books so I'm excited I now have my own copies (I picked up a copy of the latter at Goodwill a couple weeks ago).

    1. Thanks! I haven't been to one in a long time just because I don't keep track of when they are but thankfully my Dad mentioned it to me. :)

  3. R.C. Sproul is my goto theologian. Not a fan of the ESV (NASB loyalist) but the reformation study bible (Sproul edited) is a good resource for the believer that has yet to study the Bible in full.

    1. He is mine too! We mostly use the NASB in our family but have used the ESV some.
      Thanks for stopping by. :)

  5. Congratulations on being ahead of your goal. I am behind again. Only 3 books, but that can be a lot as the year winds down. Looks like you hit the big time at the library sale! Have a great reading week.

  6. You did well at that library book sale! My library is really small is never sells anything particularly interesting at its sales! However, I'm lucky to have a charity shop that's pretty good for book sales instead! Hope you have a good reading week!

  7. Library books sales are wonderful! I read Memoirs of a Geisha earlier this year, and I absolutely loved it. It really creates an atmosphere that you can live in for a little while. Enjoy!
