Who Says Kansas Isn't Beautiful?

These are the beautiful Gypsum hills in central Kansas just north of the Oklahoma border.  These photos are courtesy of my little brother.

Sunset in the Flint Hills

My brother went out last evening to the hills behind our house (technically the Flint Hills).  He was able to capture some of the most beautiful sunset pictures I have ever seen.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Sunset in Kansas

The other evening my two younger brothers and I went for a walk across the river and past the woods out to the prairies about a mile from our house.  Our intent was to capture pictures of the sunset.  Unfortunately its was kind of cloudy but we still got some fairly good photos.

Spring Beauty

I seriously couldn't think of anything to post about so I started looking through what photos I had.  Apparently, my siblings took hundreds of photos of flowers, butterflies, sunsets and trees that are rather beautiful.  Therefore, my wonderful blog readers get to look at pictures of flowers, butterflies, sunsets and trees today. :) Enjoy!

Also, if you haven't noticed, I have a poll up on the side bar about how I can improve my blog.  Make sure you vote!

Obituary for a Dog

Molly Gibson Johnson, pure bred German Shepherd dog, died April 5th 2012 during the night.  She was the beloved pet of the Johnson 9.  Molly was known for her exuberant spirit.  No visitor every got away without being licked or jumped on by her.  She may have just been a dog, but she was a wonderful dog.

Tea Time

This evening my little sister and I decided to have a tea party!!!  It was our first in a long while but tons of fun so hopefully we can do it again soon. :)  We had lots of delicious food, great laughs and the wonderful Gaelic Storm as our background music.

Our menu

  • Tea
  • Whole Wheat Oatmeal Bread
  • Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies
  • Clementines
  • Strawberries
  • Cheese Slices

Our table laid out for tea time.

My sister and I.  We decided to dress up for this occasion.  I wore my Kimono and she wore a formal.

As you can see we had a lot of fun. How can you not when you have a cup of tea? :)
