  1. Due to the pressures of life :P, I'm afraid I didn't comment a ton throughout the read along, but I only have a couple chapters left(!!) so I think I'm still eligible?? :P I just read this morning about Emma's visit to the Bates and the death of Mrs. Churchill and the news of Frank and Jane's secret engagement bursting on the world. It's so funny... I've read Emma (three?) times before this and this time whenever I pick it up I can hardly put it down. There's so much more there every time. This time around I'm finding it particularly thrilling how her being in love with Mr. Knightley is so subtly and perfectly coming to the surface. :)

    1. It still counts! You participated! I loved this re-read of Emma so much too! Each time I read an Austen novel something new comes to light.

  2. Oh dear, my favorite Austen... This has switched around a lot over time, varying from P&P to Persuasion, with Mansfield Park as a runner-up. But while I tremendously love Anne Elliot and CB, etc. and also the indisputably epic classic that is P&P, of late I've almost started to wonder if Emma's not my absolute favorite... for literary depth, themes, and characters. :) (Also because -- starting last summer -- I've read it three times in one year without getting tired of it!) Now how wild would that be? ;)

    1. Ha! I know it's so hard! Emma has definitely raised a lot in my estimation but it's not my favorite (yet).

  3. My favorite Austen novel is definitely Persuasion, and has been since I was a teen. Runners-up are P&P and Northanger Abbey :-)
