Top Ten Books I've Recently Added to my TBR List

This week's Top Ten Tuesday theme is the top ten books I've recently added to my TBR list. I'm always adding books to my TBR list but these are the ones I've added most recently.

  1. The Trinity by Augustine- I'm always on the lookout to expand my theological horizons and this looks interesting.
  2. The Man Who Knew Too Much by G.K. Chesterton- I do love G.K. Chesterton.
  3. The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett- I actually have not seen the movie (embarrassing I know) so since I haven't I want to go ahead and take the opportunity to read it before I watch it.
  4. The Messenger by Marcus Zusak- I loved The Book Thief so I'm intrigued to read another of Zusak's books.
  5. A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs- To be honest I though I had already added that to my TBR but I guess it was just my mental one and not my Goodreads one.
  6. Howard End by E.M. Forester- I read A Room With a View last year and I want to try another of Forester's books.
  7. Waverley by Sir Walter Scott- I loved my re-read of Ivanhoe this past year so I'm eager to read another of Scott's books.
  8. What Does the Bible Really Teach About Homosexuality by Kevin DeYoung- An obviously controversial topic and one that, while I know my own feelings on, I want to learn more about.
  9. Larkrise to Candleford by Flora Thompson- I'm watching the show right now and I'm feeling the need to read the book!
  10. Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth- I've already watched this show and I need to get the book read now!

  2. Ohh, I LOVE Larkrise to Candleford, it's my favorite period drama. I don't need to think twice about choosing one. I loved Minnie, Alfie, Twister, Queenie, Dorcas Lane, Thomas, Mrs. Arless, Ruby and Laura, of course! *sigh* I should watch it again. But, I couldn't finish the book. I will pick it up again this year :D

    Happy Reading, Lois :)

  3. I'd like to read Maltese Falcon as well. I haven't watched the movie either! So embarrassing!

  4. Yes, you really, really need to see The Maltese Falcon.

Would be interested in your thoughts on DeYoung's book.
