Top Ten Characters Who are Fellow Book Nerds

This week's theme for Top Ten Tuesday is Top Ten Characters Who are Fellow Book Nerds. I could only think of five but I'm sure there's some obvious ones I'm missing. :(
  1. Elizabeth Bennet
  2. Catherine Morland
  3. Anne Shirley
  4. Jo March
  5. Hermione Granger

  3. First three are on mine as well. All amazing characters - glad to see Catherine in particular. She's overlooked. :)

  7. I've seen Elizabeth Bennet on several lists and I'm confused. Granted, it's been awhile since I've read P&P, but I've read it multiple times and the only scene I remember where Elizabeth reads is at Mr. Bingley's house. She specifically says in that scene that she isn't a "great reader". Are there other examples of her bookishness that I'm forgetting? I'm not trying to be rude, I just genuinely can't remember.

Anyway, the other 4 are all perfect examples of book nerds. :)

    1. That's a fair question and I think you're right in some regards. However, she does enjoy to read and I think she was making a point with Miss Bingley when she said what she did.

  8. OK...I'm reporting anyone from the Classics Club who DIDN'T list Don Quixote, with a strongly worded suggestion they be put on probation ;)
    Nice list.

  9. I wonder if Anne Elliot should be considered a bookworm too? She really loves poetry, I know. I think Marianne Dashwood is the same way.

    1. I agree. I didn't think of them but they definitely should on the list. :)
