It's Monday! Finish Line is Close!!!!

If you're like most book bloggers and signed up for a few reading challenges or if you're like me and signed up for almost all of the reading challenges this year ;) you may be starting to feel the crunch of finishing them all up before the end of the year! I know I am! It may be my slightly competitive nature. ;)
Also, just a little FYI, if you used to go to Novel Challenge to find the newest reading challenges it's actually moved it's site so be sure to check the new one out HERE. I for one am excited about some new challenges for this next year and hopefully I'll be able to resist signing up for quite so many. ;)
AND, speaking of challenges, I have the sign ups now available for the two reading challenges I will be hosting this year. Those are the 2016 Hard Core Re-Reading Challenge (2nd year!) and the 12 Month Classics Challenge! Be sure to check them out! :)

  • The Young Carthaginian by G.A. Henry (re-read)

  1. I love how you read some Irish and folk fairy tales. You've inspired me to poke around my library's resources to see what it has.

    1. They were quite interesting and different then the conventional fairytales.

  2. Another competitive reader here too! Sure is crunch time for completing challenges, I am definitely not doing as many in2016. Was aware of the new site for Novel Challenge but must put it in my reader as well so thanks for the reminder.

  3. I try to avoid the challenges because I figure I don't need the (self imposed) pressure, but I have to say there are some fun ones and I am tempted to join!

I've never read Mysterious Island but the idea has always intrigued me, and I was a big fan of the movie when I was a kid. I watched it again recently and while it didn't hold up so well as an adult, it was still nice to see it again. I often wonder how closely it hews to the book- i should read it.

    1. There are sometimes I definitely feel like they give me unnecessary pressure but I still like them. I felt that mostly this year and then that was mostly because I signed up for WAY too many!

  4. Looks like you had a very good week of reading.

I hope this week is just as good for you.
