Report Card- March 2013

It seems like March took a long time to end but on the other hand it seems like it whizzed by so fast. It was a crazy month with tests, watching a c-section, and a death in the family. Admist the whirl wind of the month, it's nice to take a step back and look at it... or at least look at how my goals went. :)

Read or re-read five books

If you've been keeping up with my blog this past month you'll know I WAY overdid this... which NEVER happens. I normally don't make it or I WAY under do it. I even got lots of book reviews out! I read War of the Worlds (H.G. Wells), The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde), The Warden (Anthony Trollope), Curtain (Agatha Christie), The Children of Húrin (J.R.R. Tolkien), The Comedy of Errors (William Shakespeare), Odd Thomas (Dean Koontz), and Miniatures and Morals: The Christian Novels of Jane Austen (Peter Leithart). Links will take you to my review of the book. If there isn't a link that means I have no review of them. Short reviews for all of them; they're all great books. :) If you're a fan of Austen I would especially recommend Miniatures and Morals

Memorize Psalm 31:5-6

I got it half memorized. :(

Pray Daily

Most days.

Do one crochet project

I made a couple baby hats and also made the beach bag that was the prize for my giveaway. I'm making crochet items to sell for my mission trip to Costa Rica this summer so I'll be doing a lot of crochet (hopefully) in the next month or so. If you're interested in purchasing something from me contact me I'd be happy to do it. I'd say my prices are reasonable. ;)

Read a Psalm a day

Achieved! I'm over halfway through the Psalms right now. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do when I reach Psalm 119...

At least two blog posts per week

More like two blog posts a day... at least that's what it feels like. I'm pretty sure that I ended up with an average of a post a day.

No Netflix

Achieved! It was hard and there were sometimes I had to pick out a Psych or Doctor Who episode that I had on my computer to watch to get me through it. However, for the most part I just didn't watch anything. Obviously, I spent most of that time reading instead. And studying! I did study!

Study, study, study!

Okay. I think I did a lot better but with the craziness of the month it wasn't great.

Report Card- February 2014

School has very much been consuming my time anymore. I scarcely watch anything via netflix anymore except Phineas and Ferb (don't judge till you've seen it) because they're only twenty minutes. I have surprisingly doing a lot with my blog this month, doing lots of link ups every week. It's been tons of fun to meet other bloggers through that. Anyways, here's my report card for the month.

Read or Re-read five books

I re-read Mary Poppins Opens the Door, Mary Poppins in the Park, Ender's Shadow and Don't Waste Your Life. I would highly recommend all of those books. Unfortunately I only finished four. Close enough? ;)

Memorize Scripture

I memorized, as planned, verses three and four of Psalm 31. I try to work on them every evening when I read my bible and that's working out well. Last month I memorized them by putting them to song, but this month I did it by coming up with hand motions. Don't mock me! It worked!

Pray Daily

Achieved.

Do one crochet project

Unfortunately not even started. It wasn't exactly a priority so I let it slip. I got so many done last month though that I think we can forgive me... right?

At least two blog posts per week

As you well know, I way over achieved on this goal. But it was a lot of fun. This is a link to all of my posts for this moth. :) I would especially recommend my Classics Club post and my book review of the Mary Poppins books

Some good and some bad, but on the whole a good month for not only my resolutions but just life in general. :) Be sure to check back tomorrow as I'll have an announcement with my resolutions post!

Report Card- January 2014

It's been a fun month despite starting up school again. I actually did well one my resolutions this month, which I am super excited about!

Read or Re-Read 5 Books

One of the baby hats I made.
I didn't start out too well but I did get it done! I didn't end up reading what I planned to but that's okay. :) I read Dune, Ender's Game, Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins Comes Back, and Dying to Forget. All of those I would rate five stars except Dying to Forget, which while being a very interesting book has bad theology. I was inspired to re-read the Mary Poppins books after watching Saving Mr. Banks. I'm really enjoying them. I know technically they're kids books but the best kids books can be enjoyed by all ages. :)

Memorize Scripture

I got the first two verses of Psalm 31 memorized as I planned!

Pray Daily

I did it! It has become much more of a habit and with this month being fairly stressful, I found myself praying more and more often, though I should be praying anyways. :)

Do one crochet project

As you saw in previous posts, I got far more than just one crochet project done. I got about five done! Tons of cute baby hats completed. :)

Read a Psalm a day

I did it! I really love the Psalms. I want to read just more than them but I've had trouble sticking to reading more than one chapter in a day in the past.

At least two blog posts per week

I missed one week as I was very busy having fun but besides that I did it. :)

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my February resolutions. I now have a link to follow my blog on Bloglovin' so be sure to do that!

Report Card- December 2013

The end of a month and the end of a year. My resolution results? Not so good. Fun levels this month… sky high!

Read or Re-Read at least 10 books

So apparently I only really needed nine books to complete my year goal of fifty books so I'm not sure why I made a ten book goal. So forgive me that I only read nine books, that was hard enough. My reading was very lazy this month. It took me most of the month to read Vanity Fair as I just didn't find it riveting enough. I really should have started another book while I was reading it but I didn't. So with just a few days left in the month, I picked up my old favorites The Homeschool Detective series and whipped through those quite skinny books. Going back and rereading them now, I realize they aren't so amazing as I used to think they were. However, they are still fun books.

Read Proverbs

Completed! I had a crazy time completing it. The ESV bible app that I always read on kept crashing all of the time so I couldn't read it for awhile and I was too lazy to actually open my real bible so I had to wait until the app was updated before I kept reading so I kind of crammed it at the end. However, it was a really good read and I'm glad I finished it.

Memorize Psalm 31

I kind of forgot about that. However, it is going into my future resolutions!

Pray Daily

I was really good about praying every evening at bedtime at the beginning of the month and then I tapered off towards the end.

Two Blog posts per week

Except for one week which I think was in the middle of studying for finals I did it! I wrote about a wide  variety of topics and you should definitely check those posts out. They were fun to write.

Looking back over my year of resolutions and report cards I am sort of disgusted with myself. I know I work ten times harder on my school then I do on these resolutions and some of them (praying, reading my bible, memorizing scripture) are far more important than my school. I need to take these resolutions more seriously. I have a very disorganized life, which is mostly my own disorganized doing, and these resolutions have helped me keep some more sanity in it however I still haven't done nearly as well as I could. Hopefully this next year will see some improvements. Tomorrow I'll post next month's resolutions as well as first ever New Year's Resolutions! Thank you blog readers for keeping with me this year and I look forward to the next!

Report Card- November 2013

It was a really crazy month for school, with three tests and another one to prepare for right at the beginning of December. However, I made it through the craziness without completely losing it. So did my resolutions get completed amongst all of the hecticness? Continue reading to find out. :)

Read the Johns, Jude, and Revelations

Completed! Now that I've finished with the new testament I'm not sure what I'm going to read next. Probably Proverbs or Psalms, or maybe both… at the same time! ;)

Read or Re-Read at least 10 books

After I finished Wives and Daughters. I did a marathon reading where I read the last quarter of
it in one afternoon… which was no small chunk.
I read A LOT to get this goal completed. However, I did complete it! I read The Practice of the Presence of God  by Brother Lawrence, Freddy the Pied Piper and Freddy the Cowboy by Walter Brooks, Hunted and Harried  by R.M. Ballantyne, The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges, Praying Successfully by Charles Spurgeon, Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell (Started in previous months but finished this month), and The Innocence of Father Brown by G.K. Chesterton (Started in previous months but finished this month). I re-read Frank Perretti's This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness. I recommend all of those books, especially Wives and Daughters. If you've seen and enjoyed the mini-series based off the book, you'll want to read the book too. This is actually only these second time I've made a goal of ten books for the month and made it.

Write a blog post per week

I overachieved on this one. That's okay though, y'all just love reading my blog posts anyways that you liked having extra ones… right? ;)

Pray Daily

I did the worst on this I've ever done since making this goal. I'm not sure there were more than a handful of days that I prayed. There were really no excuses and I need to get my act together about that.

Study

In some ways I think I did really well on studying in other ways not so much. For my last unit test I think I did okay studying on. For my pharmacology test, I think I did great studying on! There was a lot of pressure with that test though as there were only 25 questions and I had to get a 75% or better or retake the test until I did. If I couldn't pass the test I didn't pass the class. Oh yes… and I had to know 50 drugs… six facts about each drug… for a total of 300 facts. Thankfully though I passed the first time.

Memorize some scripture

Nope. I kept reminding myself, and then forgetting over and over again. I had so much else to cram in my head though that maybe it just wasn't a good month to add this in.

So so this month.

Monthly Report Card- October 2013

It's been a crazy, long yet short October. Yesterday was Reformation Day. Normally my family would have a cookout and read the story of Martin Luther but it's been raining for the last few days so that didn't happen. However, we were able to watch half of the movie Luther instead. Does your family have any Reformation Day traditions?
So resolutions…. yeah…

Read through Philemon, Hebrews, James, and 1&2 Peter-A

Yes I did! I had a freak out moment where I thought I was supposed to get through the Johns as well and started reading 1 John but then I looked at my resolutions again and realized it was not so. :)

Read or Re-read at least three books-A

Achieved…. just barely. I read The Pursuit of God, The End of the Third Age,  and Mere Christianity. If you know anything about those books you'll know they're very skinny short books. Kind of wimpy reading this month but at least I read! HOWEVER, do not underestimate those books! They were all very good, especially The Pursuit of God. I highly recommend it.

Write a blog post per week-A

Achieved! Probably not very interesting posts but one can't ask for everything now can they?

Pray Daily-F

When I say F I mean F. It was a failure in the highest extent. Need to whip that goal back into shape next month!

Study!-C

I don't feel like I did so well the first half of the month but the second half I did better. I had a conversation with my tutor from A&P/Microbiology/Pathophysiology (best tutor ever) and she told me more or less I needed to get my act together and work harder if I wanted to do well. I needed that. She's the best. :)

Stay more organized-A

I think I did quite well with that. I have some gel pens now that I have way to much fun using to write in assignments and stuff in my calendar. :)

Keep up with my Spanish-C

Okay… I ended up stopping getting the Spanish devotionals as they were beginning to clutter up my inbox as I never had time to get to them. So not so good. Maybe someday when I have more time (like that's ever going to happen).

Not too terribly this months for goals but room for improvement. It's been incredibly busy and I really didn't make it any better by deciding to start watching Doctor Who (which is amazing and you should become obsessed with it too). However, I made a very mature decision to not start the next season until my next test is over… which is this coming Monday so I really don't have to wait that long but it seems like a long time to me. Does anyone know the Doctor Who withdrawal symptoms? I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing some… anxiety, depression, moodiness…. ;)

Monthly Report Card- September 2013

It has been a busy September with nursing school. I used to think I had no life... now I KNOW I have no life.

Read through 1&2 Thessalonians, 1&2 Timothy, and Titus

I actually was able to get through them a week before I needed to. Obviously my counting skills need some work as I thought the number of chapters was going to end up perfectly with the number of days in the month.

Read or Re-Read at least three books

I read The History of the Lord of the Rings: The Treason of Isengard,  The Book Thief, and The HIstory of the Lord of the Rings: The War of the Ring. I'm also currently reading Wives and Daughters.

Write a blog post per week

I did it... twice a couple weeks! It came to a total of seven blog posts not including my resolutions posts! :) I actually have felt really good about my blogging this month. I know I mostly gave y'all recipes but I don't think that is anything to complain about.

Pray Daily

I did better about that then last month but I still didn't quite make it daily. I started attending a prayer group at my church weekly which I have really enjoyed. We pray for about an hour. This has really put me in a great mindset about prayer.

STUDY!!!

Working on my calendar/planner while drinking some tea.
I'm in the tea mood right now. :)
I did alright. I know I didn't get fours in every day for sure. However, I think I got enough studying in... though I know I could have gotten in more and would have benefitted from it.

Become more organized

Well my whole daily word document diary fell through after about a week but I have become a lot more organized now. I've been sure to put things on my calendar and set reminders on my phone/computer as well. All in all I think it was a success. I even went ahead and put my schedule for Worshipers in Training (my church's storytime) into my calendar and set reminders so I wouldn't get taken unaware. Now that my schedule is all organized I guess it's time to work on my room.... :(

So there's my month. Not too bad but definitely room for improvement! I'll be back later today with my October resolutions. :)

Monthly Report Card- August 2013

The end of August has come and here's how my resolutions went.

Do the thirty day shred- B

I am still currently doing it but due to some unforeseen circumstances I missed three days so I wasn't able to finish it this month but I'll be done in just a couple more days! It has definitely challenged me a lot. I think that once I'm done with it I'll keep doing level one every other day or something just to keep the muscle I built up.

Stick to my diet- B

I have done pretty well. Again, due to the same unforeseen circumstances, I had about three or four days straight where I cheated but besides that I've done well.

Read Galations, Ephesians, Phillipians and Colossians- A

Achieved! I appreciated only having sixteen chapters to read, which made it far more relaxed for me.

Read or re-read at least three books- A

I finished Dragonhaven (which I can't exactly recommend... it was okay but had some problems). I also read The Return of the Shadow and Psmith Journalist, which I do recommend. :)

Write at least three more blog posts this month- A

Yes I did it! I wrote this one about my obsessions, this one that included delicous recipes that you should all try, and this one that was about how my first week of nursing school is going.

Pray Daily- D

I am working on developing this into a habit. I didn't pray every night but I did pray some nights. There have been many things that have been going on in my life right now that have given me reason to pray but it is good for me to remember that even if everything is going well I should still be praying.

Start of school well- A

I was planning on being really on top of it and having stuff done ahead of time but unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, that didn't get done. However, despite that I believe I started of pretty well and I am keeping on track of all that I need to do.

Bonus!

I crossed two items off my bucket list.... I learned to swing dance and I learned to waltz. I'm not saying I'm good at swing dancing or waltzing, but I know how to. Proficiency is yet to come.

Final Grade- B (I'm guesstimating on that but I think I'm right)

Life has been busy, hectic, and stressful but life goes on. My grandparents did get into the assisted living home they were hoping to so last week we moved them in and so far it is going well. My sister and I ended up moving back into their old house again, this time though because my grandparents want someone living in it and keeping it up.

Monthly Report Card- July 2013

I really didn't want to write this post... because this month was an epic failure. These things do happen... I know... I just wish they didn't happen to me. So here's the bad news.

Read or re-read at least ten books- F

I finished re-reading The Return of the King, read The Phantom of the Opera, and got a good chunk of the way through Dragonhaven. That's it.

Exercise in some form fifteen minutes six times per week-A

Achieved.

Stick to my diet-A

Trudging along.

Cut down on electronics time- D

meh

Write at least five more blog posts this month- F

Obviously if you have been reading my blog you will have noticed that I only ever did one other post.

Read through 1 and 2 Corinthians- A

Completed.

Memorize that scripture

Uncompleted.

Try at least three new recipes- A

Yes! I did do that! And it was fun! I made peach pie bars, banana bread, and... and I'm super proud of this one... made my own bagels. All were absolutely delicious.

Start Praying- B

I've been pretty good about this... but not perfect.

Be patient with what the future brings- D

I'm not a patient person... and I don't take things in stride. :( Update on this... my grandparents have moved in with my family for the present until they are able to get in to an assisted living home.

I really just didn't have a good month as far as resolutions go and in a lot of other ways as well. I did have tons of fun, don't get me wrong, but I was very busy and I'm so tired. VBS was a blast and we just got down with the county fair, which was also fun, but both wore me out a lot. I want another summer... where I get to relax more. I wish.

Monthly Report Card- June 2013

June has been plenty busy, hectic, stressful, but yet enjoyable. Some of my goals I aced, some I unfortunately didn't. So here's how it went.

Read or Re-Read at least 10 books- A

This was achieved. I got halfway through the month and wasn't so sure I could do it but I did. However, let me be honest, about half of them are audiobooks. This was not something I planned for but I think it is only fair to count them. I ended up having more times where I could listen to an audiobook and not always time to actually read. So I read/listened to The Watsons, Sandition, Ultimate Proof of Creation, The Black Arrow (Half audiobook half read), The Taming of the Shrew (audiobook), and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I re-read/listened to The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, Much Ado about Nothing (audiobook), and Pride and Prejudice. I also started re-reading and am about half way through The Return of the King, and I started listening to The Innocence of Father Brown.

Exercise in some form at least fifteen minutes a day-A

I faithfully did it every day except one but to be fair, I spent pretty much the whole day being active helping out at a day camp so I think we can let that one pass.

Stick to my diet- A

It was hard, but I only had three cheat days.

Cut down on my electronics time- C

I tried to make a conscious effort to do it and it helped some but I still need to work on it.

Write at least five more blog posts this month- A

Exactly five. I just wasn't in the blogging swing this month I guess. I really had to work at it to get my five posts in. I had one post full of greek yogurt recipes, another post that included a movie review of Wreck it Ralph, a recipe post for creamy avocado pasta, a post about my new audiobook love, and finally a post all about Jane Austen's books and the various film adaptations. Check them all out!

Read through and study the book of Romans- B

I read through it, but I am not sure I was so good about the studying part. I did read slowly and concentrate on it though. I really enjoyed it. There was so much theology in it that my head was swimming. I strongly encourage everyone to read it.

Work on my writing- B

I didn't manage to really make any progress. All I really managed to do was write a little on one story, come up with and work on a new story idea, and avoid my actual novel all together. However, I did work on my writing in those lame lazy forms so that counts for something I suppose.

Memorize some scripture- F

No. I do know what I want to memorize, the scripture for the VBS that my church will be doing. However, I didn't actually memorize it.

Try at least three new recipes- A!!!

I tried a ton of new recipes actually this month. Far too many to list off. Tons of delicious fun! :)

So a month of ups and downs. I'm not really sure of my average... eyeballing it I'd say a B- or C+.

Report Card- April 2013

The end of April and almost upon finals. :( Big news! My Grandma was able to come home last Friday! My sister and I have moved in with my grandparents are helping them out. So far it is going great!
Also, some more big news... I got an iPhone!!!!! It's amazing. Just saying. :)
So here is how my month went.

Study!!!- A

I think that I did well on this. I have had a successful month for grades in my various classes and I believe that is a reflection of my studying.

Read or Re-Read at least 5 books- D

I re-read Northanger Abbey, finished The Silmarillion, and read Far From the Madding Crowd. So only three books. Epic, epic fail.

Exercise in some form at least three times a week-A

Easily achieved. I still am not fond of exercising but I am getting more used to it.

Stick to my diet-A

As I mentioned in my mid-month progress report after I gave blood it kind of messed me up and I had to eat more. Besides that though I have been really good. I have really gotten into lettuce salads and greek yogurt. I am always trying out new things though so if you have any suggestions about delicious healthy foods let me know! I recently got some hummus and carrots.... which was super good! I also tried some jicima, which is not to everybody's taste but I enjoyed a lot.

Lose 4 Pounds-A

At my mid-month progress report I was worried this wasn't going to happen, but it did! Four pounds gone for good!

Cut down on Computer Time-A

I actually did quite well on this. For me keeping to it was doing little things like when I was at school even though I had my charge cord with me not recharging my computer once it ran out of battery. And other times I just forgot my charge cord... and not on purpose either. Also, I now spend tons of time on my iPhone instead of my computer. That worked really well.

Write at least three more blog posts this month- A

Easily achieved! I need to up it for next month. I wrote this post that included a recipe for "Healthy" Brownies, this post that was a review of the 1980 version of Pride and Prejudice, this post that just told a little about my life, this post about The Lizzy Bennett Diariesthis post about the 2008 version of Sense and Sensibility, and this post on the 2007 version of Persuasion. So all in all five posts!

Bonus!

I knocked an item off of my Bucket List! I gave blood!

So all in all a really good month except my book reading. :(

Monthly Report Card- March 2013

I am still getting used to 2013... and it's the end of March. Please tell me I'm not the only one?
So, an interesting month for resolutions in that I have a surprisingly high grade. I'm so proud of myself.

Study!!!- B

I have done rather well on this though on Spring Break I definitely slacked. Needless to say there were consequences.

Read or Re-Read at least 5 books- A

I was heavy on the re-reading this month. I read Heavy Weather by P.G.Wodehouse and then re-read Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Persuasion (all obviously by Jane Austen). I had a lot of fun re-reading the Austen novels as some of them I hadn't re-read in awhile. So finally FIVE BOOKS!!!! Besides achieving my long sought after goal, I also had a lot of fun with my reading.

Take at least one walk per week or bike at least once a week-A

Excellent! There was even one day where instead of being productive and making cookies I was lazy and went on an hour plus walk.

Stick to my "Diet"- A

I did really rather well on this. There were about five days where I was not so good but I balanced them out pretty well with having salads the surrounding days. One of them was Easter dinner so I think we can excuse that one. :)

Play only up to three games of online Dominion per day-A

I did fine on this. However, as I said in my mid-month progress report, the website I play on shut done mid-month as the official online version came out. I about had a nervous breakdown and died but somehow I survived. Anyways, the official version is dumb and I hate it so despite my hopes it could be some compensation it is really just a torture. I feel like getting on the internet isn't even any fun anymore. :(

Cut down on computer time-B

I did fairly well. A nice chunk of the month it was getting fixed so it was a very easy goal.  It was hard learning to do without it for that time and now that I have it back I find it somewhat easier not to use it. Still though, work to be done here.

Do one crochet project-A

As I said in my mid-month progress report, this was achieved in the form of a scarf using the basket weave stitch that I think turned out very nicely indeed.

Write at least 3 more blog posts this month-A

As always, a nice plump A here. I wrote this post about memories of bad weather experiences, this post about the pervading use of bad words in society, this post with a recipe for healthy cookies, and this post about how Jane Austen's novels are not romance novels. So four amazing blog posts.

So this is a A- for this month.... my first A!!!! :)
For those of you who have been praying for my Grandmother who had a stroke in January, she has made considerable improvement. Walking is really improving, which is exciting but she still cannot talk past a one word response. So I appreciate your prayers there. We were able to bring her from the rehab center to our house for Easter dinner, which was very special. I will hopefully be posting a full blog post report soon with more details of what has been going on with her. God has been working in her and it is obvious in the amount of recovery she has made.

In closing I leave you with something that we always say in my church- He is risen... He is risen indeed!

February 2013- Monthly Report Card

It has been quite the month with plenty to keep me busy. Last Wednesday my computer unexplainably crashed and with all the busyness of my schedule I haven't gotten it taken in to be fixed.  Needless to say I am going through computer withdrawal.  I am having to use horrible Windows computers at school, which is driving me crazy. Thankfully I can come home and use my family's Apple computers.  Then I got a cold on Wednesday, which left me miserable and somehow made me forget to take care of one of my goals.
However, enough of all of that and on to my report card.

Study for the TEAS Test INTENSELY- B

As I said in my mid-month report card, I deserve a B for this one because even though I studied pretty hard for it, after I found out that I didn't even have to do really well on it, I kind of slacked off on it.

Read or Re-Read at least 5 books-D

Some month, some month hopefully soon I will achieve this.  I read three books.  I was almost done with a fourth but as I mentioned above, I forgot to finish it.  I am blonde.  The books I read were A Pelican at Blandings, Full Moon, and I re-read Summer Lightening.  Those are all by P.G. Wodehouse and I would recommend them all.

Take one walk per week-A

I actually kind of forgot about this goal halfway through the month.  The first part of the month was great the second half, I honestly can't remember if I did or not.  However, I have been doing the exercise bike most every day so I'll just count that (because I have enough bad grades in my history thank you very much).

Play only up to three games of online Dominion every week- A+

I stuck to this goal tried and true.  In fact, because I have been out a computer for a week, I haven't been playing it for a week.

Cut down on my computer time-C

I did okay... I guess.  This last week without my computer, I realized how much I really use my computer.  Quite eye opening I'll admit.

Write at least 3 more blog posts this month-A+

Achieved with honors!  I wrote this post about a new favorite recipe (Mediterranean Dip), this post about my thoughts on Valentine's Day, this post on my trying to get in shape, and this post about the different crochet patterns I want to try.  Four posts!  I would have done more but without my computer it was a little trickier to get on my blog.

So my grade point average this month is a.... 3.9 Giving me a B+. Pretty good, considering past months.  I'll hopefully have my resolutions up tomorrow, if not later today.  Until then! :)

Monthly Report Card- January 2013

Well January kind of just flew by.  Here is my report card for the month.  Enjoy!

Study for the TEAS test-B

I have been doing quite well for the second half of January but as for the first half it was kind of sad.  With my test date set for February 12th I'll have to get moving though.

Read or Re-Read at Least Five Books-B

I re-read the entire Lord of the Rings (including the appendices for certain picky people who said it didn't count unless I did). I count that as three separate books even though technically they aren't.  I also read P.G. Wodehouse's Ice in the Bedroom.  Making a total of four books.. just one off. :(

Do Plyometrics at least 3 times a week- D

This goal was only for the first two weeks of the month... I managed to do it only the first week.  The second week we always managed to have an excuse so it didn't get done. :( I give myself a D even though I only did it one week because the first week I did it four times.

Take one walk per week- F

I did that once...

Write at least three more blog posts this month- A+

As you all will have noticed I wrote 5 more blog posts. Sadly though, that's my only A. :(

Total GPA- 2.2 with a C+
Overall I had a pretty lousy month for grades.  Even though I was trying for simplicity somehow it didn't help too much.  However, I did have a lot of fun this month so I don't have too many regrets. :)

Report Card- December 2012

December certainly just flew by.  So did this whole year actually.  I can't believe it is 2013!  My resolutions were off and on this month but I came out okay.

Get all A's in my classes- A+

As you saw from my mid-month progress report, I was able to get all A's in my classes.  I get an A+ for this one because not only did I get all A's but I was on the President's Honor roll. :)

Have a cheerful personality- C

I didn't work out very well but I made it through decently enough. :)

Clean out and clean up my desk- A

As I said in my mid-month progress report, that was completed the day after my last final.  So another A.  I just hope that it will stay clean. :)

Start Studying for the TEAS test- F

Never got that done.  However, thankfully I have January to work on that.

Read or re-read at least 10 books- D

I read 4 books (Exploring J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit by Corey Olsen, and Douglass Wilson's books The Deluded Atheist, God Is, and Letter From a Christian Citizen. and re-read 2 books (Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass both by Lewis Carroll), which makes a total of 6 books.  I didn't quite reach my goal but I was still pleased with how I did as in the past months it has been maybe one or probably none.  I really don't know what I was thinking when I decided that 10 was the number, though the excuse I keep telling people is that it is a nice round number.  My OCDness is going to be the ruin of me. :)

Spend the time I have with my family- C

I was able to play games with my family, talk with them and spend time with my sweet little brother.  However, I still spent a lot of time pent up in my room.

Serve my family- C

Nothing above average.

Take at least two walks per week- B

I did it every week accept for two where I only got one walk in.  However, I have taken up plyometrics to get me ready for skiing so that is kind of a bonus.... right? :)

Eat Healthy- B

It was okay but not great.

Write at least three more blog posts this month- A

Achieved!

Overall I had a mismatched bunch of grades.  My total grade was a B- .... my GPA was a 2.5.  I think next month I'll try for less goals.  Check back later today to see my goals for January 2013!
